Director, Nancy Wallace and International Science Fair Silver Medalist, Rachel Brouwer, recently traveled to Ottawa for a special meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, as special guests of Speaker of the House, the Honourable Geoff Regan.
The Bedford Academy Robotics club, under the guidance of Mr. Adams, will take part in the Regional Qualifier for the First Lego League this weekend at the NSCC Waterfront Campus in Dartmouth. We wish them all the best of luck!

Once again this year, the Bedford Academy family will be participating in the C100 & Cineplex Christmas Toy Drive. All families are invited to donate an unused, unwrapped toy during concert week and place it beneath our Christmas Tree in Academy Hall. Mr. Bell and his Grade 5's will deliver the toys to the Cineplex Theatre in Bayers Lake on Friday, December 7.
Congratulations to Junior High Science teacher, Sarah Kuehm, for her appointment to the council of the Nova Scotia Institute of Science to be an observer representing school teachers. Over the past 7 years, Ms. Kuehm has had 6 students earn medals and recognition at the Canada Wide Science Fair, an accomplishment we are all very proud of. Congratulations Ms. Kuehm on this well deserved honour.
Congratulations to Class of 2008 graduate, Meaghan Kells, on successfully passing the Nova Scotia Bar exam. Meaghan is currently articling with Halifax law firm, Boyne Clark. Well done, Meaghan, we are all very proud of you.
